We’re a small non-profit with big dreams of making fresh, local produce available to ALL Lehigh Valley residents no matter their financial status. With Fresh Food Bucks, the Lehigh Valley joins programs across the nation working to make local foods affordable and accessible to low-income community members. Since 2015, Buy Fresh Buy Local-Greater Lehigh Valley has provided more than $140,000 worth of fresh, local fruits and vegetables to low-income community members through Fresh Food Bucks. Fresh Food Bucks not only helps people buy more high-quality, healthy food, but it also directly supports our local farmers!
Every dollar you contribute to Fresh Food Bucks has the potential to be doubled through federal grant funding, making an even bigger impact on Lehigh Valley residents and farmers. Fresh Food Bucks donations stay local and go directly to programming. Help sustain this important program by donating today.
Suggested donation amounts:
Friend: $25 – Your donation will help keep fresh, local foods accessible to low-income Lehigh Valley residents!
Supporter: $50 – Your donation will provide five days of Fresh Food Bucks incentives for a low-income resident to buy local fresh produce!
Champion: $100 – Your donation will provide 10 days of Fresh Food Bucks incentives for a low-income resident to enjoy fresh, local produce throughout the season!
Advocate: $500 – Your donation will cover at least 50 Fresh Food Bucks transactions at a local farmers market, farm stand or retail outlet.
Sustainer: $1,000+ – Your donation will sponsor a participating Fresh Food Bucks location so they can provide fresh, local produce to low-income customers all year long!

Buy Fresh Buy Local of the Greater Lehigh Valley is a program of the Nurture Nature Center, a 501c3 organization located in Easton, PA. BFBLGLV is working to build the Greater Lehigh Valley local food economy by educating consumers about the many benefits of choosing locally grown foods; promoting local food providers; improving fresh food access; facilitating local food purchases by wholesale buyers; providing research about our local food economy; and convening the Thriving Local Food System branch of the Food Policy Council.
